This will be my last post for today, I promise!

Oh no, not her again. Oh yes! I am back again, third time today. Some things you can't controll and this is one of them. As a guest designer for the lovely gals over at Sisterhood of Crafters I kind of need to post on the right day, don't I? Thought so, I am ever so naughty and post it fairly late not to crash in to the rest of the challenges today. To make things even "worse" I've got three cards for you for this post. Yepp, things happens when you find out things early as I did with this challenge and I had the time so here we go. Oh, before I forget, the theme over at the sisters this time is Nice and fun isn't it?

Buttons!

I thought so at least. You see about a year ago did I get so many old buttons that you can't believe it from my friends over at the local cat shelter. I still try to "get rid" of some of them. That's when this "classic" was born in my mind. It's a Christmas card, very clean and simple. Just glue your buttons in the shape of a Christmas tree. Then it's up to you if you want to add more to it or now. I rarely do. I love the clean look of it. Here I have used some glitterations from Anitas to ad a little sparkel and the red DP is from Bearly Mine Designs. You find the link in my sidebar. Lots of lovely digital papers to get from Donna. A snow flake embossing board has done it's magic for the back ground as well.

Then my second card. I have used one of my absolutly favourite stamps ever. It's from Lily of the Valley and is a real treasure. The cutes thing. They have so many lovely stamps suited for boys cards and now they have a new set out. Yummi too! I have paired this little guy up with DP from Bo Bunny, Time something I believe they are called. Added some wooden buttons, some metal corners. I also stamped a few Prima stamps on the paper like the key and the text stamp to give some more life to that part of the DP.

And then my last card for this challenge. I/we where asked if we wanted to use a sponsor digi for this challenge as well. And as I had the time and didn't want to think about the pain that haunts me at the moment I thought why not? So here it comes. The image is called Butterfly garden (from 2 cute rubberstamps), and with that name there was only one option, that's right some kind of garden. I made a bunch of pin wheel flowers from dp that I got from a magazine when I started this paper crafting journey. Buttons in the middle as center points of the flowers. The backing paper is from the same old mag.

Then it was time for the image with the little cute butterfly. I printed it twice and one of them I had flipped so he has his watering can the other way. Coloured them up the same and monted the little fellow on foam cushins. The larger one I have put on a stripe of acetate so he is free hanging in front of the flowers giving them all the water they need. IRL you don't see the acetate but on my photo it got a "nice" shine to it as the sun was so bright. :) I have used some glossy accent to give a little shine to the water from the cans.

And this is what happens when you give me a challenge of buttons. I kind of went mad. I am amazed if you still are with me. Anyway, thanks for looking, and a big thank you to the sisters over at the challenge blog for having me. This challenge I will really do my best to go around and give some love to all that enters this fun challenge. Blogger seems to have a will of his own these days and I have not been able to do much commenting at all the last one and a half week. Sometimes lucky sometimes not at all. This would never happen if Blogger was a she, would it? LoL

With love n hugs for you all
Marie

Challenges for my fishing card:
Passion for promarkers - All the 2's  (I've got two metal corners, two buttons, two die cuts (lace and circle), and two shades of brown/beige for the whole card. And there is two keys on the card as well)

Second post for today

Hello again! I am baaack! Have you missed me? Thought so. LoL OK people it's time for a new challenge over at the PaperShelter. And this weeks theme is

Anything goes!

Yepp! That's how easy it is to please us this week. I hope we'll see tons of entries this week. You know what our prize is. If you use of of the wonderful PaperShelter images you can win a wooping $15 vouchers to spend in the PaperShelter store. If you don't, you can still win one image of your choise, not bad that either.

So with this in mind, I hope to give you some inspiration with this card of mine. As it has been a few painful days lately my inspiration has not been on top but this is what I came up with. I have gone all TPS on this card, using the digi paper pack "Goth girl" and matched it up with the little "Punk Lolly". I put some chain on as decoration, spent our looking for my safy pins that seems to have escaped with my snow flake stamps that got lost yesterday. A few black stars for the drama, and a few gem stones. On top of that some platinum ink to distress the edges with a metallic shine and I was done.

I hope this can serve as some inspiration and that I'll see you back at the Papershelter very soon. I still have one more post going up today, but it will have to wait a few hours. I need to rest my arms that is now going on a small vaction as it seems.

Until next time love n hugs

Marie

Time for a For Fun challenge again

Good morning! Wendsday and mega posting again. Today I have three posts going up so bare with me OK. I try to spred them over the day. This time at For Fun we have the theme of

Show you pride!

In other words use the colours typical for your country. (Oh boy, my arms are playing games with me today, weather changes on it's way. Did I tell that I really R E A L L Y love winter? Hate the mess the weather is playing with me during this time of the year).

OK, quickly back to my card before my arms give in for real here. Since living in Sweden I had to go with the cheerful blue and yellow. Finding inspiration for those colours, not easy I will tell but then I found this lovely image over at our sponsor this week and it made it lots easier. My digi is called "Fairy and daisy". Not my normal choise of an image, but this was so lovely, may be because it goes so well with the daisy DP? :)

I had the Designer papers chosen long before I had my image so they kind of set the tone of the card as well. By now you all know that I absolutly adore the designer papers that Donna makes over at Bearly Mine designs and these are no exceptition. The bright yellow is from the "grunge collection" and the daisy paper is from the spring set "". Just a few flowers, poppys these are white (as you didn't see that), but on the island of "Ă–land" just a bridge away (6,7 km long), there is tons of red poppies of to bloom in a few weeks. Looks wonderful.

I end this here as I have to more posts to write and it's not a funny day for this. The docs really have to find some good meds to help out here. I go nuts! No more complaining. I hope to see all your wonderful creations over at For Fun this week.

Love n hugs

It's time for a Bearly Mine Challenge again

Good Morning to you all! I nearly forgot it was time to post this challenge. It has already been another two weeks, and we are back with a new challenge for you all. This week we are doing
Die cuts and Lace

Tons of lovely dies and punches out there that you can use for this challenge and I bet there is almost as many different styles of lace as well. I've gone for a fabric one but you might like a paper one. What do I know? :)

As usually we have a lovely bunch of sponsors that support us this time as well. Be sure to pop by and give them your support. Where would we be without them?

Fred She Said - $20 Gift Certificate

Teddy Bo - Teddy Bo Trio

Bearly Mine Designs - 2 Digi sets of the Winner's Choice

With all this said I might show you a card for inspiration as well. Don't freak out now, but I have made a Christmas card. I know we're getting close to summer and all that but I totally fell in love with this image from Crafts and Me and knew I just had to make a card with it. Sometimes you can't help yourself, can you? LoL This wonderful image is called "Gift of Winter".

I have used lots of snowflakes that are punched out by my sons that believes punching is a way of life. They would probably do it for hours if I let them, but being three and four years old I think they should be out and play as well. That is so I can get left alone and keep doing my crafting. ;) The swirls are from a Marianne die, and the sentiment circle is made with two different spellbinders. Before I forgot, the sentiment is from LOTV, but I had to retype it as it didn't fit the style of the card, and it was kind of too small in it's original form, but I felt it was as made for this card so here it is. I have used a left over paper piece to "stamp" the snow flakes on the sentiment circle with Faded jeans distress ink. Suddenly my snow flake stamps had gone for a walk and still hasn't shown up. Hopefully they will be back in time for the rest of my Christmas cards.

I have covered my swirls with diamond dust and the snow flakes are cut in silver mirri board and silver card. All of them has pale blue pearls on them. The swirl stamps are from Whiff of Joy and to have even more bling and swirls I cut up one of the chrystal swirls from Prima. Still lots left to use for another card. Sneaky me! Lace is from Wild Orchid, the pearls from BunnyZoe. And the designer papers are from Bearly Mine's "Christmas Wonderland" and "Christmas Fun" (The lower one)

OK, I better let you go now, I talk waaay tooo much even here in my blog. Never knows when it's time to keep quiet. I hope you enjoy your crafting and pop on over to the Bearly Mine Challenge blog to see what my teamies has been up to.

Love n hugs for you all
Marie

Just a little quickie post

Having a sunny Saturday here in Kalmar today and I'm spending most of it inside. The Lilacs are blooming everywhere and I'm so allergic to them, and still I love them. :)
I have made a little card for fun again, second time in a short while. I've said it before surgery is good for cardmaking. LoL

This time I thought I would join in with the challenge over at Lili of the Valley and their theme "Here comes summer". Me growing up on an island can't see much more summer than this. I really love this wonderful image. My little friend here is coloured with aqua markers.

My DP are from K and company "Hopscotch". Lovely wonderful colours. My decos are all from stash. And all knows that the tickets are from T. H. I guess? Well, I didn't use very many of them as I like my male cards a bit more simple. However, I played quite a lot with my gelly pearl maker pen. All transparent and I hope that draws the attention and thoughts to water. I followed a sketch, but of corse I have forgotten from where but it was really nice to work with, so thank you for that. :)

OK, time to start making some meetballs as the kids love it. Then me and Mats will finally go out and have dinner without them for the first time since I can't remember. It will be nice. I just hope that my pain doesn't take over the whole evening.

Love n hugs

Time for PaperShelter Challenge again

Hi and hello! Jepp, it's that time of the week again. We have a new challenge for you over at the PaperShelter Challenges. This time we would love it if you...

Distress to impress (us)!

This is really a nice and easy one, so I expecting to spend a lot of time commenting all of your lovely creations. Don't disappoint me now, OK? As usually you have a shot to win the $15 if you use a papershelter image when you take part in our challenge. If you don't do that, you still have the chance to win one (1) digi of your own choise, pretty good that to. And then you could use that to enter our next challenge with the papershelter image and having a shot at the $15 voucher. Clever? I thought so. :)

OK then, my card to inspire you with. I have used the Wishing well for this challenge. Have wanted to colour it up from the first time I saw it. Spending most of my days in the bed or sitting at this time, gave me the chance to colour it up. Sometimes surgery is good, but not always for what it should help for...

Anyway, back to the card. I have coloured with my copics this time. We are not really friends, them and I but I try to figure them out. Flowers are from Wild Orchid as usual, butterflies made with a punch from Kars. And my designer papers are from, good question... What was it? Back in a sec or two....My Minds Eye, "Fine and Dandy" Thinkled pink version. Lots of yummi papers there too. So many different DP, so little time and space to store them all. :) As this is a Wishing well, I just had to add a coin to the card as well. Just inside all of the flowers is it hidden, just for fun you know.

OK, I leave you with that and sit here and wait for all your coming creations to pop up in the PaperShelter blog. Can't wait to see what you all create!

Love n hugs

Challenges for this card

Mid week again

Good morning again! Hope you are all doing fine and are ready for another challenge over at For Fun? Yeah, I thought so! I can see you sitting ready with your DP and image wondering what will the theme be? To let you out of your patient waiting... our theme issssss...

Get well soon!

I had tons of fun making this card even if it really didn't finished what I had planed but hey, isn't life an adventure? Would not be as fun if it ended up just the way we plan ever time. This week we are sponsored by the lovely people over at Stitchy Bear Digi stamps. Be sure to pay them a visit. Lots of sweet images for you to chose between.

My little cutie is coloured with my promakers and polychrome pens. I'm working on that technic, not doing to well, but practise make perfect. My designer papers are from Bearly Mine Designs and from the digi set that is called "For the boys". I adore the colours of the papers in this set. As I felt no inspiration for lots of embellishments this time, I just went with a couple of daisies and some card craft candy. My sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. Lots of wonderful sentiments in that set. I have also used a "net" to give a little interest to the card.

OK, it's soon time to go to the bus. The day have come when it's time to take out the stitches from my leg. Not sure I want to do that. Get chills just thinking about it. Just the thought of something being pulled from my body... Yuukki!

Hope to see you over at For Fun this week and hopefully blogger will do it's thing and work properly this week too.

Love n hugs

Challenges for this card

Tuesday 17 May 2011

A card just for the fun of it.

After noon to you all! For the first time in a long time I have managed to make a card just because it's fun. After spending a lot of time in bed the last week with my fixed knee I needed to do something that amused me today. And what is better than crafting?

For the first time have I coloured up one of those ever so popular sassy gals from Sugar Nellie, this one is called "Hippi chick" if I remember right. She is coloured with my aquamarkers. And my card goes all in red, blue and white. It's the national day of Norway today, and my mum's birthday. Happy birthday to you!

Flowers are from Prima and Wild Orchid Craft, half pearls from BunnyZoe. Butterflies made with two different punches. The metal ones is from Pagoni. The rest of the stuff on the card is from my stash, which is ever growing doesn't matter if it's summer or winter. That the craft stuff is multiplying all year around. LoL. Wonder how that can be? Designer paper is from Pink Pretticoat.

Love n hugs

Marie

Challenges for this card
Passion for Promarkers - Red, white and blue + a charm
Make it Monday - Anything goes
Dream Valley Challenges - Mix old with new (my stamp is new, DP have I had forever)

Wednesday 11 May 2011

This is nuts!

Ok, this will be the third, yep third post here today. I have been asked to be guest designing for the lovely gals over at the Sisterhood of Crafting, and guess which day they have their challenges up? Jepp, Wendsdays it is. LoL I will add this little badge on it's right place ASAP when my energy is back after my surgery yesterday. Kind of preposted this one as well. I am so greatful that the lovely girls over at the sisterhood invited me for this adventure. Thanks gals!

So for this the first challenge (for me) over at "the sisters" the theme is

Let it shine!

Use bling and glitter and what else there is to make things shine. Nice and easy isn't it? I for sure thought that. I even made two projects so this will be long post again. LoL It was very natural to make to projects as I have twin nieces and they had their birthdays a while back so it's also safe to post them now.

For my first card I have used this lovely Tilda from one of the latest club kits from Magnolia. She is coloured with distress inks. On the ballon I have used glossy accent and some golden glitter to have a lovely glittery ballon. And as my nieces are very "princessy", great word hey? They love glitter, sparkle and pink and flowers etc. My designer papers are from Bearly Mine design. You find a link in my sidebar to this lovely store. Donna will make sure you get your products qick and easy. The flowes and leafs and the lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts, and so is the blue blingstones in the corners.

I have made both cards easel ones and this is how the bottom looks. I believe I have use one of the alphabets from Tim Holtz dies for the text which says happy birthday in Swedish. I did actually forgot to take a picture of the other (in-)side of the card. How nuts is that? Oh well, it has been a lot lately. Theres is also alot of stickles added to the flowers on both cards.

And then we have the second card to inspire you all. This Tilda is also quite new and she is coloured with my usual promarkers on CC4 paper. The designer papers here is also from Bearly Mine lovely pink roses. I love this paper! It's so girly. The same here, flowers are from Wild Orchid as well as the lace. Punched out leafs and half pearls from BunnyZoe.

And here comes the bottom and inside of the card. Here I have used alphastickers in green to say happy birthday. The little buckle with blingstones is from Altheas mix.

I hope that my creations can inspire at least one of you. I can't wait to see what you come up with for the shiny challenge over at the Sisterhood of Crafters.

With love n hugs
Marie

Challenges for this card:

Second time for today and now it's time for The PaperShelter

Happy Wendsday to you all! A brand new day and a brand new challenge over at the Paper Shelter for you all. This weeks theme is to use

Black, White + one more colour

Fun isn't it? Myself I loved this challenge and wish I could play along. I absolutly love to color my images in grey scale so this suited me perfect. To get a little more shadows I have started to play with polychromes as well. Hate the noice when you rub the solution down. Terrible! Wonder if I'm doing something wrong? Anyway, I choose to work with this little kitty cat "singing to the moon". How adorable! Love my kittens!I am very happy however, that you can't hear this one sing as that is not a lovely song! I have one of those singers at home and he is really living on the edge at the moment! LoL

Anyway, I have made a smaller card this one and kept it quite simple. My only decorations are my lovely half pearls from BunnyZoe, a dotty ribbon and some "home made" transparent half pearls with a pen from Verco. The back ground panel is dry embossed with a folder from Forever Friends I believe. Some hearts is never wrong, are they? The DP for this card is from "Slöjddetaljer" here in Sweden, a lovely pack of papers with only black and white dps. I cheet every now and then and color them in to fit what I want to do. Just a little tip. :)

Just as always you can win $15 voucher to spend in the PaperShelter store if you use one of the lovely images provided for us all by TPS designers. If you want to enter the challenge but doesn't use a TPS image you can still win one fabby digi stamp of your own choice! How great isn't that? And you know what? All of you who uses a TPS image have the chance to be an "artist in the spotlight" over at the TPS blog and then, if you're chosen you get a lovely price as well. So sit down and start creating, you never know what the future brings!

Challenges for this card:

We have Wendsday again!

Morning to you all! It's Mid week again and time for some challenges. Last week I went double with the Paper Shelter, but today everything is back to normal again and I do two posts. I'm starting off with the challenge over at For Fun this week, which is a sketch made by Helen. It looks like this and I think it will be a nice challenge.

This week we are sponsored by the lovely people at Soft Pencil. Be sure to go and check out their little cuties.

I decided to go with this cute sailor image as it's great weather with lovely sailing winds today. My image is colored with promarkers and polychrome pens for the first time ever. Looks fairly nice, but I do hate the noice the stumf gives when you use it on the paper. Yuuki! Hope I get use to it cause at this moment I get chills all over just thinking about it. The bright fun dp are from Echo Park, summer some thing I believe they are called. Love them. Flowers are from WOC as usual. The sentiment is a freebee from a magazine some time back this spring. As you see I have flipped the sketch around to make it work with my image.

OK, off to make the last touches to the next card. I do hope to see you over at For Fun during this week.

Love n hugs
Marie

Tuesday 10 May 2011

Good morning!

It's time for a new challenge over at the Bearly Mine challenges. The theme of this challenge is....

Vintage Easel Card

OK! Let's get on with it. I am not much a vintage girl myself so when I saw this challenge I thought to myself "this really is a challenge and how do I deal with it?" I was lucky to find a lovely picture for another challenge but never got to it, so I used it for this card instead. I had planed to practise a little first but life got in the way of it.

Then spend lots of time finding DP which wouldn't have taken half as long if the computer hadn't been on strike. Anyway, I have used the lovely digi set that is called "Vintage", clever isn't? LoL After looking around I thought brow is a good vintage color and I started to build up the card from there. And this is how it ended up.

I hope the card can inspire you to make something that you normally don't do, because it sure did for me. And I'm really greetful as I now have a card for my youngerst sons teacher that will retired during the summer. A good deal in many way. A card is done in good time before I need it and I have learned something new and really loved it. This is my second vintage card ever, and I believe it will be more of those, but only for the special people in my life as it took forever to make it. But I have heard something like practise make perfect or something like that...

As usually we have a bunch of lovely sponsors that provides us with the most amazing prizes every challenge. This time we are very humble and greetful to have the support from all of these companies. A big thank you to each and every one of you!

Bearly Mine Designs - 2 Digi sets of the Winner's Choice
Crafty Emma
(Sorry, I don't know the prize from Emma as it wasn't available when this is written)
Bildmalarna - 1 rubber stamp

You have two weeks to enter this challenge as usually so get into it and have fun. I sure did! This time I will come and check on your creations later rather than sooner because when you read this I'm up on the surgery table and getting my knee cleaned up. I do hope I'll be home again later today. See you around!

Love n hugs

Marie

Sunday 8 May 2011

Sunday and the sky is pink and blue

It has been a lovely warm and nice day here in Kalmar today. Now the sun is setting and it's getting late. Have spent most of the day outside and are now both tired and a tiny bit sunburned. Maybe summer is on it's way? We had snow earlier this week so I'm not convinced yet. :) Since the weather has be great to day, just cold winds, did we take the kids to a farming school not too far from here and watched together with about 3000 other people when they let their cows out for the first time this season. Lots of fun! Oh boy! Cows are really big, especially when they come jumping and running towards you. Can't believe I wanted to have at least one before. To my defence, I just wanted a little red mountain cow, not a beast! LoL

Ok, I do actually have a card to show you as well. It shows a Lili of the Valley image that is coloured with my promarkers and some copics I believe. DP are from Bearly Mine. Took them out of the scrap box, so I can't really remember from which set they are. Sorry Donna, you have created so many now, it takes forever to find out. :) Roses and hearts are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearl string from StämpelgĂ¥rden when it was still around. I miss them always the best of service. Please come back!

Love n hugs
Marie

I would like to enter this card to a few challenges:

Lili of the Valley Challenges - Animal antics

Wednesday 4 May 2011

I'm going double with the PaperShelter this week! Two challenges in the same post!

This week over at For Fun Challenges we are looking for cards

made for mum and/or flowers

You can do both or just one of them. Me and my family doesn't celebrate these mum and dad days very much so I went for a flowery card instead. Can be used at any time you know. :)

This week we are sponsored by the lovely people Pedro and Veronica over at The PaperShelter. They are offering a lovely prize for those who enters our challenge this week. Also the DT has been given a bunch of sweet images to work their magic with. OK, I try to make my magic with them every week as I'm also a part of their wonderful DT. So this week I got to do two cards with these lovely images. For the first one I have worked with the cheerful sunflower. I've have played a little with the computer and turned one image around and used three of those bright flower for my card. The DP and ribbon is freebees from some old crafting magazines. Pearls from Bunny Zoe as always.

Normally I would break here and start up a new challenge just right after this one but I thought since I have used images from the same place this week. I make a joint post this time. I might even save myself some little time infront of the PC as it's a horrable day to be me. So much b....d pain. Only a few more days now if I'm lucky. Keep your fingers crossed!

Anyway, the challenge we have for you over at the PaperShelter this week is

BLING IT ON!

Yeah! That's right! Make your card shine! Nice and easy isn't it? I thought so. I've used one of the sweet cat images for this card. They are so adorable. You will be seeing more of those in the future that's for sure. :) I've used bling stones of various kind, glitterglue on the flowers to make the card a bit shiny. The little kitten is coloured with promarkers and so is the flowers above. Flowers are from WOC, a hat pin from whiff of joy. DP are from Dovecraft this time, and lovely blinged up bug is from Altheas Mix. I adore those and was so happy to find some more of them. -smile-

Ok my lovely friends. Time to hit the bus to go to the hospital again (third time this week). Life is so fun! Thank heaven for crafting! The web behind the image is from BunnyZoe by the way. And the chandeler is from WOC.  I better put my hands down now before I talk too much. Anyway, it would be lovely to see you all over at both FOR FUN this week and over at THE PAPER SHELTER. You could even combine the two challenges. Bling it on with flowers for mum wouldn't that be something?

The prize offered over at the TPS challenge is either one digi of your choise if you don't use a TPS image. If you do use it, you have the chance of a voucher for $15 in the store. How good isn't that? I'm not 100% sure but I think you have a shot at a voucher of the same value in the For Fun Challenge. So what are you waiting for?

Take care and love n hugs for you all

Marie
